Last Tacky Tuesday

I am so sad that Tacky Tuesday is ending.  I have really enjoyed how much fun it is.  Thanks Ruthie for all you did to make it such a fun challenge.  Here is my entry, it was definately one of the more challenging for me, I had a hard time thinking of a sentiment with melt in it.  Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, when we get snow it doesn't last long, so that's why I thought of this!

Monday Challenge-Gobble til you Wobble

This challenge is for any Thanksgiving project, I made a wall hanging for my station at work!
I used the wreath is two circles from George and Basic shapes.  the turkey and pumpkin are from Create a Critter, the little pumpkin face is Peachy Keen stamps.  the corn and Sentiment are from the Thanksgiving cart.  The leaves which are the base are cut from CAC also, then I sprayed them with water and scrunched them, then inked them.  Ribbon is from Michaels.

I love making different wall hangings for all of the holidays.

Throw back Thursday Challenge

For this challenge it has to be kid friendly.  I decided to make a Thanksgiving card for kids!  I used the Mickey and Friends:
I love Chip and Dale, they are so cute!  The ribbon is from Michaels.

Tacky Tuesday

This months Tacky Tuesday challenge is to use a frog cut and "frog" or "toad" in the sentiment.  I decided to make an easel card.
I used the Mini Monsters cartridge for the frog.  The frog was cut at 3.15".   I made a flower using my new Flower Shoppe cartridge.  I used scallop 1 at 1.5 inches.  I added some frog ribbon I had and some green brads.

Tacky Tuesday Z fold card

I was asked for more information on how to make the Z fold.  I love the design.

It's called a Z fold and is not my design.  I can't remember where I learned it from.  I wrote down the directions and still have to follow them.
Start with a piece of paper 51/2  x 12.  Score at 2",4",8",10".
Go in at 11/2 from the top cut from 2" to 10"
Go in at 4" from the top cut from 2" to 10"
Fan fold up down up down
Take the middle score line and push in opposite directions.
I've attached pictures at different levels of opening.  I hope this helps!

When folded, it fits into a standard A2 envelope

Tacky Tuesday Challenge and Cardztv Challenge

I don't know if this made it in time, my camera was at the shop being cleaned.  I just picked it up a little while ago.  This was also a tribute to Breast Cancer awareness month.
I am also entering this into Cardztv challenge.

The challenge this month is to use a dog cut and the word ruff or woof in your sentiment.  I love all the dog cuts for cricut, but have not used the Pluto from my Mickey Mouse cart.  So, I decided to use Pluto.  I had to make it a little larger of a card, it's 6x41/2.

Schoolbus shaped card

This is my attempt at a shaped card.  I cut out the bus from Doodlecharms, they heads are from EDPD and they are stamped with PK stamp faces.  I tried to show the different expressions for kids first day of school.  The sentiment is Pink by Design.  I had alot of fun with this card.
I'm entering this into Cute Card Thursday-no designer paper and
Peachy Keen Stamps-Let's Face it Friday-shaped cards and PK stamps.

Recent Projects

I have been making cards lately, however, I am horrible about posting them.  So this is a little bit of a catch up of some of my projects.

This first one I made today.  The grandmother of an old neighbor and my sons best friend just passed away, so I went online and found a project from Mary at Cardztv and used that for my inspiration.

This next one is a birthday card for my sister.  I love Hello Kitty and I like how the card turned out!

This next one is just one for fun.  I love how bright and happy this turned out!
I love following everyones blogs and seeing what they are creating.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!

Tacky Tuesday

I know I have been MIA for a little while.  I had some pretty serious computer problems and now have my very own lap top.  Hopefully I will be able to get involved in some of the challenges again.  Starting with Tacky Tuesday.  This is always so fun.  This time it was any sea animal and using the word sea in your sentiment.

Grand Niece's Birthday Card

I made this Birthday card for my grand niece who is turning 4.  She just had a dance recital, so I of course had to use the Twinkle Toes lite cart.  I put lots of rhinestones on the ribbon and use glitter paper for her little pink outfit.  I think it is so cute and she will love it!

Grand Nieces Birthday card

I made this card for my grand niece's 4th birthday.  She just had a recital and is such a good little dancer.  So I had to use Twinkle Toes Lite for her card.  I love the little dancer and of course lots of bling!

I'm entering this is the Throwback Thursday Challenge.

Creative Sisters Challenge

I think this is probably one of my all time favorite cards I've made so far.  I really love how it turned out.  I made this for my MIL for mothers day.  I really think she's going to like it.

You can see the stickles on the little butterfly!
I don't think you can tell from the pictures, but I used two different heights of pop dots to give it more dimension.
I cut the letters from Plantin Schoolbook, the butterfly was from Straight from the Nest.  I used K & Co Ancestry.com paper (I think that's the name of the stack)  one side for the letters and the other side for the butterfly.  I used my MS doily punch and some little flowers, button and ribbon I had on hand..

Paper Cutz Challenge #89

Boy, I think this was the easiest challenge ever - it is whatever you want!  I made my bro-in-law a card (he likes to golf).  So I thought I would show you that one.  The stamp is actually 2 stamps from my stash, the paper is open stock from Joanns.  I used the Create a Critter cart.

I had to add the sun, even though we haven't had too much sun yet this year.  But golfers in the Pacific NW learn to love the game in all weather!

Flaunt It Fridays #20

I just bought the Cindy Loo Cart two weeks ago and had not had an occasion to use it.  I'm so glad this challenge was any cut fro that cart.  It has such pretty cuts.  Anyway I used the little deer.  And it gave me a chance to use my brand new punch!

PaperCutz Challenge #87

I made this card for my nephew for his birthday.  He's a huge Uof Oregon fan, so I tried to make it look a little like a uniform.  I think it turned out so cute.
As you can tell the school colors are green and yellow!

Tacky Tuesday Challenge And Creative Sisters Challenge

I always love doing the Tacky Tuesday challenge.  It's always so crazy and fun.  This time you had to use a cow (any cow) and use the word udder or moo on the front of your card.  I had so many ideas going through my mind on this, but finally decided on Peek-A-Moo.
I am also entering this in the Creative Sisters Barnyard challenge this week! I hope you like it!

This card ended up being 6x6, so I'm going to have to make an envelope for it, but that was the only way I could fit the two cows playing peek-a-moo.

Paper Playtime, Challenge #43

For Ch#43 the theme is WEATHER.
Use sunshines, rain, rainbows, clouds... or anything else pertaining to the weather on your project.

Since I live in SW Washington and we've only seen the sun for about 3 hours the past 6 months, I naturally went towards the rain.  I do love the rain otherwise I wouldn't live here, but there is a limit.  I am definately looking forward to spring
I think he turned out so cute.  I used glossy accents on his boots, the rain and the water.

Paper Cutz Challenge #86

This is basically almost any Easter card, it has to have a bunny, chick, lamb or Easter egg.  I chose my Hello Kitty cart for this.  I love HK, but don't seem to use it very much, I added a little Easter basket and hand cut little tiny eggs and grass.  I had some little heart bling and computer generated the heart and sentiment.  I think it turned out cute.

Flaunt it Fridays Ch#18

This challenge is to use the Sheep from Country Life.  I don't have that cart, so I used the sheep "From my Kitchen" cart instead.
I'm really going to have to work on my photog skills, this is so crooked, oh well.  I used glitter on the sheep and cut the heart and sentiment from my computer.

Baby Shower Gifts

This is a project I have been working on for awhile.  My nephew and his wife are having their first baby, so I've been working on little gifts and a card for the baby shower tomorrow.
The first item is the card, the idea of welding the umbrella onto a base was from "Cards by CG"  She is a fantastic designer and always has wonderful ideas!  I love how this turned out.

The next project is a little box to put things in for the baby, it was an idea from "Made by Momo".  I really like how this turned out.  I made this for another neice for her baby and she loves it.  (The babys nickname is baby bee)

The last project I did was a counting book from an original idea of "Jens Creation Station".  I laminated this little book, and I don't think I would do that again.  I had so much trouble with crinkling and had to keep redoing entire pages.  I made some other mistakes on it, but have learned from them.  I think overall my niece-in-law will like it.  It's hard to see in this picture but almost all of the little designs on the pages have stickles.

Flaunt it Fridays Challenge #16

This is the Birthday Bash Bunny.   I didn't use the present since it's an Easter card.  The butterflies are a MS punch.  The daffodils are from Walk in My Garden. then I used stickles for the center.  I also used this for Tacky Tuesday challenge.
